WT Asia, the region’s leading exhibition serving the tobacco industry returns to Indonesia for the seventh time this October and finds a new home in Surabaya. WT Asia will take place at the Grand City Convex Convention Hall from 16-17 October 2019.
The move to Surabaya has proved to be a popular choice with the industry, with exhibition space now completely sold out. The event is expected to host over 1,000 visitors from across the region, with buyers already registered from China, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
Visitors can expect to see an exciting array of products and innovations from more than 60 international companies, showcasing everything from high speed cigarette making machinery and Heat-Not-Burn products to filters, leaf tobacco, trace and track, flavours and casings, acetate tow, shisha and tobacco products
WT Middle East has reported that attendee numbers for the 2019 exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates exceed 5,200 with a 43% increase in attendees when compared to the 2017 show hosted at the same venue.
There were 101 countries represented at the event with visitors travelling from countries such as Japan, Myanmar, Argentina, Malaysia, South Korea and Paraguay. The exhibition had over 200 exhibitors showcasing their latest products from a range of international companies including GD Spa, Sopirawala Exports, Dare Global, Alliance One and Real Tobacco.

WT Europe took place on 30-31 May at the IEC, Bulgaria, Sofia and had 1,174 attendees from 74 countries visiting the show over the two days. WT Europe provided a great opportunity for the industry to meet, discuss and focus on the latest issues surrounding the industry.
The conference programme was well attended with packed out seating. Topics covered included; The Future of European Leaf Tobacco, Leaf Perspectives at world level, tobacco plain packaging and Global Tobacco Regulation overview.
